USDA Sinkhole Remediation Project

AACON was awarded a contract for the remediation of two sinkholes by the USDA-ARS Appalachian Fruit Research Station. The work involved replacing and repairing a service road at the AFRS Facility in Kearneysville, WV, followed by the removal of an existing asphalt access roadway. Additional scope included the excavation of a 10,000 gsf area, and the remediation of a sinkhole using the graded filter method which requires a specialized technical approach. AACON was successful in meeting all requirements of the SOW and delivered the project on-time and on-budget.
